The Grand Tour

Welcome to the 51 West Grand Tour, AKA the ‘Sit at home in your comfy pj’s and slippers while planning your event tour’. On this tour you can view rooms as if you are on site.  You can also take measurements to use while planning your next event. Click the link to be transported inside of 51 West starting at the west side double doors.  This is the entrance  that is used most for weddings, receptions and social events that are taking place in our ballroom. Walk into the foyer. You will pass the opening that leads to our lounge, dressing rooms and restrooms. A few more steps forward and our beautiful ballroom will be to the left and our grand staircase, a fantastic spot for photos will be to the right.

Ballroom

As you walk into the ballroom, you can see that it is set for an event for 96 people.  The ballroom can seat up to 208 guests depending on what other activities you have planned. For events without dancing or with limited dancing, the center floor can be set with tables and chairs.  For most events in the ballroom, we set up the tables and chairs to your requested configuration.  Multiple colors of tablecloths and napkins are available as well as the china, flatware and glassware.

We also have centerpiece options as well as backdrop variations.  Be sure to look at the short throw laser projector on the left back wall.  It can be connected to your laptop to show powerpoint presentations, photos, videos and logos on most walls in the building.  Our service bar is on the front left side of the ballroom.  We offer custom cocktails, champagne toasts and more.

Banquet and Conference Rooms

Stepping into the front entry you can enter the banquet room to the right or the conference room to the left.  The Banquet Room is popular for showers and small meetings.  The double doors can be opened for additional seating for the ballroom, food service and more.  The Conference Room is perfect for groups of under 25.  This room can also be used in conjunction with the banquet room and/or the ballroom for food service or catering staging, guest check in, a dressing area, etc.  If your event is in the banquet or conference room only, all other doors will be closed and you will utilize the front door (Clinton Street Entrance).

Second Floor Mezzanine Room

Head toward the back of the building and go up our grand staircase to access the Mezzanine, our most recently renovated area.  This tour shows the room set for a wedding ceremony.  Around 130 people can be seated for a ceremony and the ballroom can then be opened for the reception.   Likewise, this room can be set in various combinations of tables and chairs for smaller parties of up to 72 guests with a dance floor and stage.
